GETTING STARTED DAY 1.

Figure out how many gallons of water your pool holds by going to google and typing in "pool gallon calculator".  Write it down somewhere, (on the outside of the pump or filter is a good spot).

Adjust the alkalinity between 80 and 110.

Adjust the pH to approx. 7.2.

Always start with clean fresh water.  If you haven’t drained and refilled the pool and there is any visible algae or a chance there is any algae (greener than normal water) in the pool, it is recommended you shock with 1lb of chlorine per 10,000 gallons of water and use a non-metallic algaecide according to the directions on the bottle.  Scrub any visible algae with a brush and circulate your pool for 24 hours.

GETTING STARTED DAY 2:

Back wash and or clean filter.

Remove any chlorine or bromine tablets.

Check and adjust the pH if needed to 7.2.

ADDING THE NATURAL SOLUTION POOL TREATMENT:

PLEASE ADD THE TREATMENT SLOW, A LITTLE BIT AND TEST, A LITTLE BIT AND TEST.  USE A BUCKET FULL OF WATER!  THE BEST COPPER TEST STRIPS I HAVE FOUND ARE "POOL CHECK 3 IN 1 TEST STRIPS BY INDUSTRIAL TEST SYSTEMS. YOU CAN GET THEM ON AMAZON AND I WILL HAVE THEM SOON.  OR, IF YOUR WILLING TO SPEND THE MONEY THE LAMOTTE COLOR Q 9 IS WHAT I USE AND IT IS SUPER ACCURATE.  BUT COSTS AROUND $200.  ANY COLOR Q TESTER WILL WORK, JUST ORDER THE COPPER TESTING TABLETS SEPARATELY IF THEY DON'T COME WITH THE TEST KIT.

Make sure the pool circulation system is running. When you add the treatment to the pool you must do it very slowly in 1/4 cup doses for pools under 5000 gallons, 1/2 cup doses for pools under 15,000 gallons, and 1 cup doses for pools over 15,000 gallons.  We do it very slowly adding small amounts of product so we don't use to much product, just in case the gallon of water in the pool was not calculated correctly.  It might seem slow and irritating to do it this way but if you put too much in at once it won't mix properly and could stain the pool surface. When the strip starts changing colors reduce your dose amount by 1/2.  Please remember slower is better until you get to 1.0ppm.

You start by measuring 1/2 cup of pool treatment in a measuring cup and pour it into a clean bucket.  Fill the bucket approx. 1/2 to 3/4 full, (make sure you are able to lift the bucket with that much water in it and walk around the pool slowly, if you can't find someone that is strong enough).  Slowly walk around the pool pouring the contents of the bucket into the water.  Wait 1/2 hour and test the water with a copper test strip, you want the copper ppm to be between 1.0 to 1.5, repeat the process with another 1/2 cup of the pool treatment. Test the pool water with a copper test strip after circulating your pool for 1/2 hour to verify copper ppm in between 1.0pmm and 1.5ppm.  If it isn't keep repeating by adding 1/4 cup or smaller amounts of pool product and test after 1/2 hour until the test strip shows between 1.0ppm and 1.5ppm.  Do it slow it is worth your time.  Always aim for 1.0 ppm, you can adjust it later if needed, and go slow, slow, slow, trust me its worth it.  Add wait test, add wait test, same with adjusting your pH.

Testing your pH is an important factor when using this product.  The optimum pH for our pool treatment is 7.2.  Keep an eye on it.

The table below is approx. always add the product slowly until you reach in between 1.0ppm and 1.5ppm of copper.

2.  Clean the filter if you have a cartridge filter.

MONTHLY:

1.  Back wash filter if needed.

2.  Test the pool with a copper test strip, if the amount of copper is less than 1.0ppm add 1/4 cup of pool product in a bucket with water and slowly pour into the pool.  Test again in 1/4 hour and continue adding product 1/4 cup at a time until the copper test strip reads between 1.0ppm and 1.5ppm.

3.  Check and adjust pH between 7.0 and 7.2.
